“I’m James and I am undertaking my Placement with University of Leicester’s School of Archaeology and Ancient History in partnership with Leicestershire County Council.
"I have been a professional archaeologist for nearly twelve years, after having started as a volunteer at a young age. I started my career as a field archaeologist at Suffolk County Council Archaeological Services before moving to Berkshire to work for Thames Valley Archaeological Services (TVAS).
"I have always been interested in working with the Community and this placement is the perfect opportunity to learn more and gain a better understanding of this field (pardon the pun) of archaeology. I look forward to the challenges and experiences I will gain in the coming months.”
