Natasha Scullion, Community Archaeology trainee 2011 - 2012

Meet Natasha:

"Hello! My name is Natasha Scullion, I studied archaeology at the University of Wales, Lampeter and currently I am on placement with the Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust in Swansea as part of the Community Archaeology Training Placement scheme.

"The scheme is designed to train up people interested in community archaeology with the skills to widen the public interest in archaeology and make it accessible for even more people to get involved in, from all encompassing projects to local investigations.

"I’ve always been fascinated by archaeology, visiting plenty of sites and historical monuments and getting involved with the events there since childhood. There’s a huge amount of history that surrounds us at any one time and it’s going to be fantastic to encourage others to enjoy our heritage with the skills I develop through the training placement."
