Meet the trainee:

Richard Walker has a 1st class BSc in Mathematical Sciences, and an MA in Archaeology and Heritage from the University of Leicester, which included study of Landscape Archaeology, Planning and Management of Archaeological Projects, Buildings Archaeology and Critical Approaches to Archaeological Heritage.  He has recently completed an MSc at the University of Sheffield which combined Palaeoanthropology with a detailed study of Human Osteology.

Richard has twenty years experience in project and people management, combined with significant experience in liaising with clients throughout the Financial Services sector, both in the UKand overseas. In addition, he has eight years experience in volunteering on community projects, undertaking archaeological excavations and investigations, in a range of periods, from the early Prehistoric through to the 19th century.

Amongst other things, Richard has been involved with Jubilee Colliery: Unearthing the Past, a Heritage Lottery funded partnership project between Groundwork Oldham & Rochdale and ARS Ltd.
