Archaeology for all - Council for British Archaeology

Archaeology Matters

Events for members

Members are warmly invited to join us at our range of annual events, from the Winter General Meeting in March, to the CBA Weekend in September, and Annual General Meeting and de Cardi lecture in October.

2017 De Cardi Lecture and AGM

The CBA AGM will be taking place on the 6 November 2017 in London.  As ever, it will be accompanied by the Marsh Archaeology Awards and the annual De Cardi Lecture.

2017 Members' Tours

In 2017 we will host at least two Members' tours. Our regular autumn tour will be an in-depth exploration of Jersey including the Dolmens of Jersey, Mont Orgueil Castle and Fort Regent, amongst other sites.

We are also hosting a shorter tour in the spring to see the Archaeology around Newcastle.

More details on both events will be announced soon in both Member communications and on these event pages so keep checking back for more detail.

CBA Group events

The CBA works across the UK together with a network of CBA Groups. The Groups hold their own regional calendar of events, from open meetings, to talks and day schools that give you the chance to see archaeology in action in your local area, and take part.
