Archaeology Day 2018

Our annual Archaeology Day event includes the CBA's Annual General Meeting (AGM). This year, the event takes place on 30 November at University of York Department of Archaeology, which is close to the CBA’s secretariat office.

An exclusive chance for CBA members to hear about the results of the latest research at the important Mesolithic site at Star Carr in North Yorkshire during the 2018 Beatrice de Cardi lecture. Professor Nicky Milner, site director at Star Carr since 2004 will be giving us the benefit of her years of experience and insite into investigating the site.

In addition to this feature talk, the Archaeology Day will also include the CBA’s AGM, the presentation of the annual Marsh Archaeology Awards, a drinks reception, and an opportunity to meet with CBA trustees and staff.

We are also planning other opportunities for CBA members to sample local archaeology attractions over the weekend for anyone staying over.

So save the date of 30 November in your diary as this promises to be an incredible opportunity. Watch this space for more details as they are announced.
