Give the past a future
Help to safeguard the unique archaeology of the British Isles and take it forward to the twenty-first century and beyond, with a legacy or in memorium gift.
Leaving us a legacy
Have you considered including a gift to the Council for British Archaeology in your Will? Legacies can make a huge difference to our work and allows you to make a mark on the world by providing for a good cause which is close to your heart.
Free of inheritance tax, a charitable donation in your Will can also help to reduce the tax burden on your Estate and in some instances need not have any effect on the inheritance you leave to loved ones.
To leave a legacy to us, you simply need to include details in your Will. This can be done by writing a Will or by making an amendment or Codicil to an existing Will. Your Solicitor or professional adviser will be able to tell you more.
We have developed more information about making Wills and how you can save on Inheritance Tax. If you would like to talk to someone about making a will please contact our Finance Director, Peter Olver or our Head of Communications & Marketing, Siona Mackelworth.
Remembering a loved one
You can make a donation to the Council for British Archaeology as a special way to remember a loved one.
By making a donation to us you can provide a lasting tribute and help protect the archaeology they loved and cared about.
- A donation of £100 will help us to support a local branch of the Young Archaeologists' Club
- A donation of £500 will help us to provide a start-up grant for a Young Archaeologists' Club Branch
If you would like to know more about the options for making a donation in memory, please contact Siona Mackelworth, Head of Communications & Marketing.
