The AQA has announced a new archaeology A-Level qualification to start from September 2017. The CBA was instrumental in helping to support the continuation of A-Level archaeology through a research report that reviewed and made recommendations to strengthen academic archaeology education pathways. The report, commissioned by The Subject Committee for Archaeology, surveyed proposals for improvement in the composition and promotion of Archaeology at A-level, University, and employer levels. Both A-level students and tutors were asked their views on the different modules of the A-level syllabus to check if perceptions of value and difficulty were similar.
