York Minster

Explore York's greatest landmark and one of the world's most magnificent cathedrals, with foundations rooted in the nation's earliest history.

From Spring 2013, you will be able to explore the underground chambers with new interactive displays on their most treasured artefacts. The Orb is the latest addition, an elliptical treasure house of stained glass, showcasig example of some of the world's most important medieval art.

Opening hours

9 am - 5pm Mon - Sat, 12-5 Sun

No sightseeing on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. There are occasions when York Minster is open for services only.
