CBA office to close during second English lockdown

The CBA offices in York will be closed over the period of England’s second national lockdown, from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday December 2nd (subject to further restrictions).

CBA staff will continue to work from home over this period. Membership and general enquiries to will still be processed and responded to. Post will be collected from the CBA offices once a week. Please bear with us during this period as our service may be subject to some delays.

British Archaeology magazine will be sent via post to members and subscribers as usual and available in those news retailers which remain open.

Christmas orders/gift memberships

Christmas orders and gift memberships will be processed as normal with applications received before 18th November receiving the next issue of British Archaeology magazine (Jan/Feb 2021 edition, due out on December 4th 2020). Membership orders placed after this time will commence from the start of the following edition of the magazine (March/April 2021, due out on February 5th 2021). New members who sign up between these dates will still be able to access the entire 25-year archive of British Archaeology digitally online.

British Archaeology magazine subscriptions and gift subscriptions will also only receive the Jan/Feb 2021 issue if they order before 18th November, with subscription orders placed after this date starting from the March/April 2021 issue. Only full CBA members are granted access to the digital archive.    

Our lockdown resources hub is still live, containing signposts to Coronavirus information and a wealth of archaeological resources. We will endeavor to keep this updated with the latest information. If you have suggestions for additions, please let us know.
