Archaeology dig it - Council for British Archaeology

Archaeology Matters

Community archaeology workshops

The CBA are hosting three public workshops to help develop future community archaeology projects.

Workshops

The Council for British Archaeology would like to invite you to join us in developing future community archaeology projects - and to support you and your organisations in celebrating the stories of your community and landmarks both old and new.

By exploring and sharing our stories and heritage with the widest range of people, reaching across our communities in creative, fun ways, we can demonstrate that archaeology is everywhere and includes everyone.

But we need your help. We need to have your ideas and input from the earliest stages of project
development - what is it that excites you about the heritage of your area? How could you share this with others? What do you want to learn about and participate in? From fieldwork to performance art, archival research to craft workshops, nothing is off limits!

One of the ways in which we'd like your help is in shaping a major community archaeology project along the HS2 corridor, but that is only one of the potential projects we'd like your help in exploring.

The workshops are open to anybody and there's no need to register.
